Feuds you can fight back in, and diss tracks with your own title
Feuds got a big rework. When another star comes for you, you now have 24 hours to answer, and the hits swing harder both ways. You hit back out in the world: a 🔥 clapback pin appears where you can answer, friends can back you up, and a truce is made face to face instead of in a menu.

Actions now play out in the room before their results come up, so you see what happened before the numbers.
The floating gig buttons above the bottom bar are gone; gigs live in the place bar.
The call-friends screen now lays out like the party guest list and no longer overflows on small phones.
London, Paris and five new cities to fly to
The biggest update so far. Poppywood is no longer the only city: you can fly to Dubai, Tokyo, Mykonos, London and Paris, each with places of its own and its own map. Fly economy, first class or charter the Skylark. Abroad you stay in a hotel paid by the day, or buy a house there: the Azabu house in Tokyo, a cliffside villa in Mykonos or an Emirates Hills villa in Dubai.
Modeling career: from test shoots for your book to closing the show in Paris, with London and Paris Fashion Week venues and front-row benches you can sit on.
The Backlot gets a TV studio with a talk show set and a podcast studio. Interviews, TV appearances and radio hours now happen sitting on those sets.
House parties: invite up to eight celebrities; each one says yes or no.
Height and build sliders in the character creator, and regulars and celebrities come in different sizes too.
Your team: when security or a publicist stops something bad, they tell you what nearly happened. Bad events end with a tip about who could have stopped them.
Arrivals: security gets out first and takes posts at the door, and a backup car follows when your entourage doesn't fit.
You now walk up to people before talking to them, and people with an offer walk up to you.
Lie down in bed to sleep, and a tap on the floor shows a ring where you're walking to.
Fame now fades when you go idle, random events are rarer, and the biggest paydays rest for longer.
Cover art with your own character
Single, album and film covers can now feature a rendered cast of the game's own characters, or your character, with four new cover templates to choose from. The cover photos from Essential Popstar 2 are back as well.
Friends, dating, cliques and three new languages
Relationships are now a proper part of the game. Celebrities go from stranger to close friend one real interaction at a time, and stars well above your grade need an introduction. Friends and partners make plans with you that go on your calendar.
Engagements, weddings at the Grand Hall, starting a family, secret flings and blackmail.
Relationship drama: fights, jealousy, tabloid rumours and anniversaries, each a conversation where you choose what to say.
Twelve celebrity cliques with leaders, get-togethers and rivals.
Perks of knowing people: more opportunities, plus-ones past the velvet rope and power couples.
The game is now available in Portuguese (Brazil), French and Japanese.
The website now opens straight into the single-player game, and you can sign in to back up your save and continue on another device.
Needs, the police station and the courthouse
Your star now has four needs: Health, Sleep, Hygiene and Bladder, topped up at home. Run out of sleep and you pass out; run out of health and you end up in hospital.
Misbehaving now has consequences. Poppywood PD and the County Courthouse are open, and missed bookings, unpaid debts, fast driving and worse can lead to fights, fines, lawsuits, arrest and court dates.
A celebrity entourage that follows you around and arrives with you.
Show-up scenes for every opportunity, and calls afterwards with how it did.
Star moves as pins in every room: tap one, walk there and do it.
Everything now takes time on the city clock, with a calendar for your bookings.
Fame, celebrities and the Serenade
Essential Popstar 2's celebrities have moved into the venues. Fame, celebrity and star quality now have their own levels, every action and opportunity names a real event or show, and offers arrive as phone calls. The Serenade, a superyacht moored off the pier, is open to visit.
The city map, the Backlot and a new front page
The list of places is now a full isometric map of Poppywood, with the beach, the pier, Millionaire's Row and the hill. The Backlot film and photo lot opened, gigs became one-tap buttons, and new players get a guided tour and a First steps checklist.
Popstar Online opens
The first version of Popstar Online: the Essential Popstar character creator, Peach Records, the Concert Arena, Starlight Studios, Velour and the Grand Hall, three home tiers from a studio flat to the penthouse, a gig career ladder, eleven cars and over eighty pieces of furniture modelled in Blender.
