Fame and star grades

Your star grade is the first thing other people notice about you. It sits on a star next to your name everywhere you go, and it changes who will talk to you, what you're offered and how big the crowd is when you arrive.

The grades

What earns fame

Why fame fades

Each fame boost lasts a set number of hours and then wears off. Your grade is worked out from the boosts that are still live, so a star who stops working drifts back down the grades. This is deliberate: it rewards keeping busy over one lucky week. Tap the star in the corner of the screen to see every boost that is holding up your grade and when each one runs out, so you know when you need your next big moment.

What a higher grade changes

Who you can meet. Celebrities at your grade or below become friends quickly. One grade above you takes more effort and they may brush you off. Two or more grades up, their people keep you away until a friend introduces you.

Your crowd. The crowd outside a venue when you arrive grows with your grade, and with any scandal or romance people are talking about.

Hospital bills and fines. Fame isn't all upside: bills scale with your tier, from $500 at D to $50,000 at S.

Rankings. The Forbes list ranks everyone in the city by net worth, and you hear about it when you break into the top 100, the top ten and number one.

Net worth tiers

Separate from fame, your profile shows a status based on your net worth (cash, homes, cars and everything you own):

StatusNet worth from
Newcomer$0
Rising$25,000
Star$250,000
Headliner$2.5M
